Applying for Secondary Schools

If your child is in Year 6 in September, then you will be asked to apply for a Secondary School place ready for next year. They will bring home a brochure that contains infomration about Stoke-on-Trent Secondary Schools and also the Admissions Procedure. Make sure that you take time out to read this.

Top tips when considering schools:

  1. Visit the school websites.
  2. Go to the open evenings for all the schools you are interested in.
  3. Look at the Ofsted reports and Prospectus'.

  4. Think about how your child will travel to the school if they got a place there.

Closing Date for Secondary School Applications

The Closing Date for Secondary School applications is 31st October. Make sure your application is in on time. If you do submit a late application you may not get your preferred school choice.
